EXHIBITION
WORK

As an Assistant Curator, I have contributed to three key exhibitions that I am excited to share with you. My role involved assisting in the setup and logistics of the venues. I also took on the responsibility of writing wall texts, conveying the artists' stories, styles, and biographies to enhance visitors' understanding of their work. Additionally, I created booklets to archive these exhibitions, ensuring they are professionally documented and preserved for long-term reference.

The ancient nomads of North China, as hunters, warriors, traders, and empire builders, played a vital role in cultural exchange across Eurasia. Living a mobile life focused on hunting and herding, they left behind an artistic legacy rich in spirituality and the interconnection of humans and nature.

This exhibition explores their story from the early 1st millennium B.C.E. to their "golden age" (10th-13th centuries C.E.) through over 250 art objects. The narrative combines archaeology, art history, and anthropology to highlight their impact on the cultural landscape of Eurasia.

Hong Kong ink painters often excel in calligraphy, blending it into their work to express contemporary ideas. Some incorporate words, characters, and symbols, merging calligraphy and painting. In contrast, Middle Eastern artists, rooted in Islamic tradition, focus on patterns and calligraphic forms, avoiding representational art. This exhibition marks the first time works from the Middle East are displayed alongside Hong Kong artists, showcasing global trends in contemporary calligraphic art.

The exhibition "FUTURE MEMORIES. Utopia Dystopia Nature" explores the evolving perception of landscape and nature in contemporary art. Curated by Dr. Harald KRAEMER, it features 34 international artists whose works reflect on the future challenges of a changing natural world. The exhibition, held in Hong Kong in March 2021, juxtaposes utopian visions with dystopian realities. Since the 1960s, the ecological crisis has driven artists to depict the shifting relationship between humans and nature, highlighting both the hope and despair tied to our planet's future.
